Weego Does SEMA 2016
Last week Weego attended SEMA, which is the largest automotive show in the world and draws in over 150,000 enthusiasts to Las Vegas each fall. SEMA consists of a diverse group of manufacturers, distributors, retailers, publishing companies, auto restorers, street-rod builders, restylers, car clubs, race teams and more.
SEMA members make, buy, sell and use all kinds of specialty parts and accessories to make vehicles more attractive, more unique, more convenient, faster, safer, more fun and even like-new again.
In obvious ways, Weego fits in perfectly with this crowd – that’s why this year we were the official jump starting service of the SEMA show! As you can imagine there are many cars on display during the show, many of which run a multitude of electronics throughout the week. When move-out time comes at the end of the show, many find their battery doesn’t have enough juice left to start the engine. So, we provided a text service where people could get in touch with us to request a jump start, and we would meet them at their location with Weegos in hand!
We even had to jump the vehicle in our very own booth, which was a 1969 Ford Bronco wrapped in Weego flare. We had a lot of fun providing the service, and many were grateful that we had – we hope to implement the service again in 2017!
