Making It Better
Through our parent company–Paris Corporation, we have a Make It Better charitable giving program where we make both product and monetary donations to local charities and organizations.
Recently we donated two 66 Jump Starters to an organization called The Other Side Academy – a two-year re-educational and vocational program for men and women who have struggled with addiction, criminality, joblessness, and homelessness. While here, the students learn vocational and life skills, allowing them to emerge with a healthy life on “the other side”.
In addition to learning self-governance, the students are provided with opportunities to work within various vocations. As a self-sustaining institution, The Other Side Academy generates revenues from its training schools–The Other Side Movers and The Other Side Thrift Boutique to cover program expenses.
The academy has an automotive department and their team takes care of the moving trucks and the academy’s various vehicles. The automotive team also responds to calls around the valley. They usually have to go out a few times a week to give a jump. Their goal is to have a portable jump starter in each one of their moving trucks, and we were happy to have the opportunity to help them start on that goal!
We are proud to support The Other Side Academy and thank them for all their effort and hard work for Making It Better. For more information about this organization, please visit their website at theothersideacademy.com
