How To Charge Your Phone Faster
Sometimes we find ourselves in the desperate situation of needing to charge our phones but only having a few minutes until we’re out the door. Thankfully there are a few simple tricks to giving your phone a much quicker charge:
1.) Use a wall adapter, not your laptop USB port. Wall adapters will usually charge your phone at a much quicker rate.
2.) Use a wall adapter with high amperage (AKA a faster charge rate). You’ve probably realized that some wall adapters charge your phone more quickly than others; the likely reason is because the faster charger has a higher amperage rating.
Look at those tiny words on the back of your adaptor – you’ll see that somewhere it reads (for example) “OUTPUT: 5V/2.1A”. Pay attention to the number before ‘A’: the higher that number, the faster it will be able to charge your phone. For example, iPhone adapters have an amperage output of 1A whereas iPad chargers have an amperage output of 2.4A – this is why an iPad adaptor charges your phone a little bit faster, and why charging an iPad with an iPhone adaptor seems to take forever.
3.) Don’t use your phone while it’s charging! Using your phone while it’s on a charger is similar to trying to fill a bucket with water while there’s a hole in the bottom – water is coming in, but water is also going out, therefore filling up that bucket is going to take a long time.
Put your phone in Airplane Mode while it’s charging – when your data is off, your battery is using less power, and you’re less likely to use your phone. You’ll notice a significantly quicker charge this way.
4.) If you still don’t have enough charge after using these simple tricks, then you need to get yourself a Weego! Having a Weego Battery Pack means you can take your charge with you on the go, wherever you go.
