How to Weego
Power your Accessories with the New 12V DC Adapter!
This post briefly mentions volts and amps as if you already know what that stuff means. If you don’t, check out our Power Basics series of easy-to-follow posts to better understand what the hell we’re talking about.
The beauty of Weego jump starters is their multi-functionality; they jump your dead battery, charge your cell phone, and power your laptop. But we wanted to offer even more possibilities for on-the-go power with our products, and that’s why we’re bringing some new accessories to the table.
The Weego 12V DC Adapter is a great addition to our Heavy Duty JS12 and Professional JS18 models – all those accessories you would typically plug into the cigarette socket in your car can now be run through our two largest jump starters. The adapter plugs right into the Weegos’ 12V/10A ports along the side of the units – then you simply attach your 12V accessory, power on your Weego, and get on with your life!
Power a camping lantern, fan, heated blanket, air pump….the list goes on. Seriously. People power anything and everything with these socket plugs – coffee makers for the morning, blenders for when your beach-side and 5:00 hits (or before, no need to put a number on it)…
But while the possibilities seem endless, this does have some limitations – you can only power accessories that operate at 10A or less. While this covers a lot, it doesn’t quite get everything. Sorry to say you won’t be able to cook up some eggs on your portable frying pan, ‘cause that sucker needs 12+ amps to operate. The power draw of your accessory can (and should) easily be found on the product itself, likely in the teensiest, tiniest of print, so be sure to check.
If blenders on the beach sound like your cup of tea/margarita, then be sure to visit our Accessories page and get yourself a 12V DC Adapter 🙂
