Dead Phones – Statistics On The Everyday Hassle
All phone users experiences the woes of a dead cell in the middle of the day – we know it’s common, but we don’t realize just how common.
Veloxity, a Boston-based company trying to solve the dead battery issue, recently did a survey in four major US cities: Boston, Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia. They asked 200 people from each city about their phone-dying habits, and found the following:
- Everyone reported needing a recharge from 1.8-2.6 times/day
- 4% carry a backup battery (like a Weego!), while 11% carry around their chargers (what we like to call plug huggers).
- 85% carry nothing at all!
Everyone claimed they need more than one charge a day, yet 85% still carry nothing around with them – it’s no surprise that Veloxity also reported a high percentage of ‘battery anxiety’.
WDS, a Xerox company specializing in customer service, reports that the number of users calling customer service about battery performance is rapidly increasing each year. The problem is evident, but for some reason the solution is still under the radar.
App usage isn’t going to decrease, so the battery issue isn’t going away any time soon. Relieve the battery stress and arm yourself with a Weego Battery Pack so you can keep checking Weather Puppy and Instagraming your gluten free breakfast (though we wish you wouldn’t) without worrying about a power outage. Weego where you go – here, there, everywhere.
